Thirsty Yet?

Thanks to Corey for getting my creative juice, and also the opinions on the new beer theme. I think I’m on the right track.
I’m so confident that I’m pulling an all nighter on this one. WIth the help of some cold Beer of course.
I’m yawning like crazy right now, but I need to get this template finished, because I know that I’ll never be in this frame of mind again for a long time.
LOL, call me the Drunken Website Designer!
My whole point to the new theme is to make it look refreshing, wet, and give you the feeling of wanting to crack open a nice cold beer.
Well back to work.

I’m loving the header and beer cap bars, or whatever you call ‘em. The background isn’t doing much for me, however. Can we have a say in changing it? Afterall, we’re entitled to your opinion…you should be entitled to ours

What would you suggest? What is it about the background that you don’t like?
February 12th, 2006 at 3:47 pm
It’s ugly?
lol…well, maybe it won’t be too bad once you add all your other junk on the side bars and can’t see so much of it. But it does make it hard to see the beer droplets.

btw…if you were nice enough to give me the code for the “recent comments,” do you think blogspot would accept them? I really love them on the sites that have ‘em, especially when someone comments on an old post.

The recent comment thing is a WordPress plugin. I don’t think it would even work on blogspot.
I’m going to change the Background later when I get the time. I have something else in mind.

Don’t change it just for me. I’ll feel guilty if you do…lol

Take a look now Skye. I’ve moved it to the testing grounds and made a few changes. It’s now a working blog, but not completed all the way.

@ Skye: The recent comments thing looks possible, but I can’t be certain, as I use WP as well. Try the hepl on this page: http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=1205&topic=41

BTW, I like the background better too. I still think there’s a way to show frost, but the other one was a bit “dull”, I think. I was trying to put my finger on it.
February 13th, 2006 at 12:13 am
yeah, yeah, that’s what I meant…dull (not ugly) :-”
The background IS better, but the red clicksor ad clashes really bad with it. Okay, now I’m getting real picky…lol.
When should I officially change the link to your blog?
February 13th, 2006 at 12:26 am
MrCorey, thanks for the link. That’s close to what you guys have in WP, but not quite the same. The code they suggest goes a little over the top…lol. But it looks like I can delve deeper into it in their help files. I’ll check into it more when my brain is functioning

The link will still be the same. When the template is finished, this one will be replaces by it.
But that’s when it is done, there are a few more things I need to do yet.

Looks delicious.
February 13th, 2006 at 9:47 am
Heh. If you click on the red clicksor ad, it may go away…..(or not)
February 13th, 2006 at 11:25 am
Well that’s a trip! You do have an eye for design.

Thanks guys..
Just a few more minor adjustements and I’ll move it here.
