Work Doodles

I’ve been wanting to post this for awhile now, but as most of you are probably aware, the Hosting service’s database hardware went FUBAR.

I wanted to post about my first night  in full time production on the floor, so lest start there shall we?

I believe I pretty much fucked up every persons account that got through to me. I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. Apparently I was a good trainer on paper, but in the real world, I was not such a good one after all. LOL :P

The job is actually really easy and I like it since it’s really laid back. As you can tell. I have a lot of time on my hands with the doodle to the left.

There’s nothing to do while you’re waiting for a call to come through, so I end up sitting there doodling on scrap paper. It is obvious that my mind seems to wander into the world of the weird.

I continued to screw up people accounts since there was next to no floor support, or the ones that were doing floor support were to fucked up and stoned to be of any use. Yea, there are a few people there that wreaked of pot and other narcotics. (A little more on that later)

The second night wasn’t as bad. I was learning from my mistakes and things were getting easier. I only screwed up a few accounts, they’ll be calling back in a few days to rip somebody a new one. Hopefully I get them. :P I like getting the assholes.

The third night was really easy. I was in my niche. I had control.

Last night was a good one. Some bitch called in and right from the word ,”Hi!” she started ripping away. Demanding that I convert her bonus money (Cant say what the real name is) into air time, and when I told her she didn’t have enough to cover the taxes, she still demanded that I do it anyway.

She was screaming and going hysterical because she was short 2.50 from the minimum amount. She really wasn’t eligible for the exchange, and although I could have done it anyway, I didn’t.

Now if she would have called me and stayed sane and professional and asked me politely, I actually would have. But the tone she took at me was unnecessary and rude, and I felt she didn’t deserve it. Let that be a lesson to those who want to have customer service reps bend the rules.

Well anyway, while she continued to holler and scream , I turned down her volume and poked into her history, and as it turns out she has tried this before, she even used her father as an excuse. She said her father was dying. It would have been a pity if it were true, but you know what they say about the boy who cried wolf right?

She then demanded to speak to a supervisor, and I was happy to bring one on just to hear them tell the hag that she can’t have her exchange again. As I was in the transferring process, she hung up. I guess she figured she was barking up the wrong tree and I wasn’t about to cave.

WHAT A RUSH THAT WAS! :D  Fucking bitch!

The Job is actually pretty easy like I said, I just don’t like the environment and some of the people that work there, and how things are run.

First of all, they say they have a zero tolerance with drugs and alcohol use during working hours, they don’t want people dressing like slobs and want you to be in business casual dress, no hats on the production floor, no cell phones on the floor, no food on the floor, and to treat property with respect, and no swearing.

I have yet to see these policies followed though, or see somebody implement them.

Some people there you would think need helmets to protect their heads from when they accidentally bump their heads. Spent more than one day in a public school, or have had any type of education for that matter.

There was this one idiot that was running up and down the isles and jumping in chairs and then asking people to spin him around in one. I’m thinking WTF? There wasn’t any supervisors working obviously, or they don’t care.

I can’t wait till they hit their people volume so they can start canning a lot of these idiots. They’re distracting, obnoxious, and every second word they say is the ‘F’ Bomb.

The place is full of sick people too. People blowing their runny noses, leaving tissue all over the place, getting their germs all over the computer keyboards and mice. Tomorrow I’ll be going to the store to pick up some of them disinfectant wipes to wipe the workstation down before I use it.

I’m not shocked when I’m in the washroom to see some of the dirt bags just walk right past the hand sinks after draining their bladders in the urinals. That just fucking grosses me out to think that they’re going to be handling workstations that others will be using. It’s no wonder there’s a lot of sick people there. It’s no wonder I’m always washing my hands and using the hand sanitizers located all over the building walls. I’ve only seen one other person use them other than myself.

Once they get things set up there and kill off all the useless junkies and immature dumb asses, that place won’t be all that bad.

I think that’s all I wanted to say, or all I can remember what I wanted to say. To bad the server was down all that time and I could have been more informative. :P

That sucks about the environment where you work. I hate when you are trying to do a good job but are surrounded by f*cktards. It will be good to see them clean up shop, as you said, by getting rid of the losers. In other news – I freaking love your doodle, especially the snail/squidly looking thing that is holding on for dear life to the pole. You should do/post more of these. They are cool! :)

@teeni – I hope they do the clean up soon, that’s all I can say about that. It makes you feel like your in the same low life category.

I’ll see if I can keep the doodles coming. :P
