Top O' The Morning To Ya'

Thought that this LOL’s Cats was just appropriate for this post since it is St. Patrick’s Day after all.

Today I went into work with just around 3 or 4 hours sleep, and I have to admit that the first part of the day was a bitch to try and get through. In the middle of the day I kind of got a second wind, but that was quickly taken away near the end of the day.

Wen I got home I grabbed a bite to eat and ended up passing out for about an hour. I really didn’t want to do that because it just makes me feel like shit for the rest of the night. So a nice cup of java took care of that groggy feeling for the night.

As I was writing this post, Top Hosting Center went down. Not a very good impression to make with this magical migration IMO. So far it’s been about 45 minutes and I’m still waiting for the damn site to come back up.

I’ve decided to finish writing this post in notepad so I don’t lose my line of thought, and my thoughts are really evil right now with the site being down again.

Yea, I’m pissed off. This so called move to a new server was supposed to be the ultimate solution to downtime problems. Well, the proof is yet to be produced.

What has it been, a week? And the site is crashing down already, and it’s not just this one. It’s all the sites I know that are on this server, ar at least the ones I KNOW are on this same server.

Not impressed at all.

Maybe they were into to much of the Green Beer. WHAT? Why am I making excuses? I’m not in a good mood right now.

EXCUSE: apparently, when we shutdown the web2, we had a conflict between the old and new one, our senior sysadmins are working on the issue, it should not be long , thank you for your patience, it is not a server that crashed

That was 20 mins ago…. then 30 minutes later there was an e-mail telling me what I already know…. Not impressed. But I have to give them credit for taking initiative and getting to it to fix the problem. This will be ‘X’ number one. The problem was fixed about an our or so later with the assurance it wouldn’t happen again. The proof is in the pudding I always say, well actually I don’t always say that , but it’s just a saying. :P

Anyway, back to work topics.

Today I watched two supervisors spend six hours playing kindergarten making some kind of table of names on 8 pieces of bright colored construction paper. A complete waste of time, seriously. Something that would have takes any teen about 45 minutes to an hour to do in elementary school.

Yet they want to cut back on hours of the real people working to cover expenses and save money, but they’ll pay these two boobs to fuck around all day.

Nothing ever makes any sense there.

Then there was the construction guys building the new bathrooms for the second week in a row, yea, two weeks. Mike Holmes could have done them in two days. But anyway, they had the outside doors open all morning and I nearly froze my balls off today.

I better not get sick from that or I’ll be so pissed off…. GA!!!!

I still hate my job!

@MrCorey – I’m crossing my fingers that they do. But its starting to feel like it will never happen.

I’m going to have to call you and get your opinion on the place so far.

That is annoying, but unfortunately technology is not perfect. It’s when we really want or need something that it tends to go down.

@Grog – That always seems to be the way it happens.
