Tramp O’ Claus Is Coming To Town
Friday, December 18, 2009 2:42 | 283 viewsThis one goes out to all them assholes that call me at work thinking that just because it’s the Christmas Season, they can act all nice and scam me into giving them free money for nothing. Well, it ain’t gonna’ happen!
Why is it that people become all nice and friendly at this time of year only when they want something? Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of nice people out there that are genuinely nice, but there are the ones that slip in there like wolves in sheep’s clothing.
It seems that now the calls I get at work from people looking for credits for their fuck ups and stuff are all of a sudden… NICE!
Do they honestly think that just because it’s the Christmas season we all open our vaults and rain money on their account balances?
I actually had a few customers use the line, “C’mon man. It’s Christmas. Can’t you just open your heart and give me a few dollars?”
“FUCK NO!”
It’s still not my money to give away and it is still called a business no matter what day of the year it is! Why would I risk losing my job just because you can’t manage your own GD bills??
I have my own bill problems, and I don’t go calling them asking them is it would be OK if I didn’t pay them! Because I know that would be an idiotic thing to do.
Now lets go to the supermarkets. People are so ignorant!
They’ll run you over in the parking lot to get to the only open spot to park their car. They’ll run you down with their shopping carts to get to the shortest checkout line. They’ll stand in the busiest isle chatting with friends blocking traffic on either side and not move the fuck out of the way.
All I want to do is buy a loaf of bread! Why does it take 30 minutes to do that when it usually takes 3???
I remember Christmas being about Family and friends getting together and having a fun time. But now it’s so commercial. YOU MUST BUY THIS NOW!
The whole theme of giving has turned to ‘taking’ and ‘wanting’.
Pffft! The most wonderful time of the year, my ass! People should be giving and happy 365 days out of the year. Not just one day out of the year.

I have to agree with you that we should be more giving all year round and not only at the holidays. I often wonder about those families we help out at the holidays – what are they eating/wearing the rest of the year? Anyway, I wanted to come over and wish you a merry christmas/happy holiday and all that stuff.

@teeni: Merry Christmas is just fine teeni. That’s what I’ve always called it all my life. Non of this Happy Holiday and Holiday Tree shit. It’s been ‘Merry Christmas, and we call it a Christmas Tree also.
