The other day it was busy at work and there was a lot of prep to do on the line to get ready for an even busier night. The fella I was working with is usually pretty good on having things stocked up making sure everything didn’t all run so low you would end up spending several hours restocking it all up again.

When something started to get low, he stocked it back up. He does this with everything as it gets a little low. It’s a hell of a lot easier to do this than let it all run out and when you’re busy in the middle of a supper rush scrambling around trying to get orders sent out with nothing to work with.

He had asked me, who I like working with. Him or this other guy. I piped right up. YOU! I don’t have to spend the first 3 hours of my day stocking my line while trying to put out orders. When I come in when the other guy is working, I can’t make up a simple order because all the fixings are empty and there’s nothing to work with. It’s a bloody pain in the ass.

What goes around comes around. When you have a good crew, they work together and help each other out. When I’m working with the Good Guy, I end up doing up a lot of shit for him for the day shift when he starts because, since he had my line stocked, I had time to do a bit for him. It’s a win – win situation.

There was a comment he said to me the other day. Well The ‘Not so fun guy to work with‘ said to the Good Guy that I don’t do anything . When I heard this, my Jaw dropped to the floor. I’m the ONLY guy that does anything on my shift! I do all the side work while the other fellas work the line when it’s slow. I do it because I have done it for over 11 years and can do the job a lot faster than the other guys. I’m not tooting my horn, it’s just true. The system works out great.

If I actually didn’t do anything there, well then he would actually have something to whine about because the stock and line would be completely empty and they would have to shut down for the day to catch up.

It just pisses me off when you’re busting your balls every night at work and somebody has the gull to say something like that.

I poked fun at the comment the last couple of nights. I know that everybody there except the ‘butt hole whiner‘ knows I do a lot there, so I kept on saying things like, “NO, I’m not doing that. You do it. I have a reputation to uphold here.” followed by a laugh and a chuckle. The others would follow in with a laugh of their own and continue out with, “Yea, you don’t do a fucken thing around here!” and ‘Butt Hole Whiner‘ is hearing the whole conversation.

I wonder if He’s even got a clue as to the fact that we’re mocking him.

Pffffft! ‘I don’t do anything.’ Yea Right!
