First day back to work today after my 2 week vacation. And to top it off I’ve caught a nasty cold too. Doing everything I can to battle the thing, but from the way I feel, I think I’m loosing.
Gawd, I feel like shit right now.

UPDATE (11:30am):When writing this post this morning I was sure I was going to still be able to go in to work. But as the morning went on I felt even worse, so when my drive got here a couple of hours later, I was feeling really bad. I ache, have a fever, and my chest is completely congested.
I took a Vicks DayQuil this morning while getting ready for work, so now I can’t fall asleep to get some rest. I’ll lay down and watch TV for a bit and then take a NyQuile around noon and get some rest.
Hopefully I’ll feel well enough to make it into work tomorrow. The thing that really sucks is that I’ll miss out on New Years Holiday pay because I’m not working my scedualed shift after the holiday. Since I’ve been on Vacation, today was my scedualed day after the hoiliday.

Talk about bad timing ey’?

I got to go lay down again, I’m burning up… :-&

Hope you feel better! Not that losing your holiday pay can make you feel better… who came up with that rule anyways? I’d be calling Employment Standards and looking into that…

It’s legit, you have to work the scedualed day before and after holiday.

A lot of companies here in the US have that same rule. Luckily, I don’t work for any of them anymore

…and at least the school boards think that today is going to be bad weather, so iots gonna be a doozy (they usually cancel school and the weather’s fine…)

HAHA on the schools being closed today. Baffles my mind as there’s nothing going on out there!
