Web Hosting Shouldn’t Be This Much Of A PAIN!

It’s now been over a month, and several dozen e-mail requests to get information required for transferring of Domain information to an new and better hosting service, and just today, I finally got my first response to all the requests that I have sent.
All I wanted was the EPP Key so I can have my new host take over the domain registration, since they will not only be hosting a clients account for free, but also the Domain too. Well, not for free, but a one time charge for life.
Anyway, I got the EPP Key and now things should be rolling along.
If I had known just how bad the customer service would be with that hosting company, I would have never went to them in the first place. I have never experienced such terrible customer service from a hosting provider in my life.
Shopping for a host shouldn’t be that hard to do these days with all the reviews you can find on the web these days. You can find information for a web host rating on a particular site using services like Web Host Rating. The ratings are given out by the customers the hosting companies serve.
The part that I find that would be very useful to the average person who doesn’t know where to start when choosing a host is the Articles section that will provide tips and tricks on finding a particular type of hosting service and keeping it affordable at the same time.
I’ll be submitting a few ratings, if I find a way, about the host that I am moving one of my clients off of because it was nothing but a nightmare contacting them for anything server related. I would say who, but I don’t even want to send the traffic to them if at all possible because they don’t deserve it.
So if you’re thinking about having your website hosted, just make sure you do your homework first and don’t just jump on the cheapest train ride you see. It might be worth the extra few dollars to get what you need and want instead of a dead host that will not help you. Check out Web Hosting Rating and go through the site. At least this way you’ll probably get something worth your time and money.
This is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

I have never had any problem with my host provider, though Diane did.
@DragonLady - Yea! I saw that. What happened to her site?
It got infected with some malware. I told her about it, and then she emailed back and said she didn’t know what she did, but she couldn’t see any of her blogs anymore.
@DragonLady - Yea, I remember getting blocked by Firefox too.
