Why cant everything run smoothly?

Grrrr! Why is it that we spend hours trying to fix something instead of looking on the web to see if there are others with any similar problems? WHY!?
I spent my whole afternoon trying to figure out why the RSS Widget will not work on my site. I’m referring to the one that comes with the widget plug-in. All I would have to do is drag the RSS widget into the place I would want the RSS feed to display and save it, but noooooooo! When I save it they all disappear! So I proceed to try and figure out what the deal is. One hour goes by, two hours go by, and then three hours go by. My brain hurts! So I finally cave and try and see if somebody else is having the same issues. YUP! it’s not working because of the Multiflex-3 Theme I’m using.
So I’m not going to change the theme just because the widget won’t work, but instead I have been trying to find a sort of PHP script that will parse an RSS feed to the sidebar that would display my other two sites feed showing the latest two posts from each. That was another challenge, with the heat today, I couldn’t stay focused.
So I gave up on that for awhile, maybe I’ll try again sometime, or maybe not.

That is sort of what I would like to have display on the sidebar, so if anybody has an Idea or a script they know of, please let me know in the comments.

For some reason it wont work with the Multiflex-3 theme, so I would like it if anybody knows of a PHP RSS parser script I could put in the sidebar. I have an example of the type of layout in the post. Preferably something idiot proof. read more
