Ya’ can’t trust the person on the other end….

I’ve worked for a couple of telecommunications companies and it’s the same crap every single time. My entire day was spent fixing slams, crams, lies, and cheats. Fixing other company’s crap because they wouldn’t assist the person they billed. Removing services that were put on peoples accounts that they never asked for. Crediting charges that weren’t supposed to be charged in the first place.

flies pooMost of these were done because the persons that were responsible for these wrong doings were getting extra bonuses, revenue, and commission. These assholes are spineless, low life, pests that you’ll find circling a pile of shit. These bastards will prey on the elderly, disabled, and the not so savvy person that’ll place to much trust in the Representative on the other end of the line.

A word to the wise, “Ya’ can’t trust the person on the other end of the line.”
From what I’ve seen, there is no way in hell I would ever call in to a live person if there’s an option that I can do automated business. If I want to add something to my existing services, I’ll do it on-line. If I want to pay my bill, I’ll do it on-line. But if I need to get a human answer to a question, I’ll make sure that they’ll never go off the topic, if need be, I’LL start off the conversation with, “I don’t want anything suggested to me, no sales pitches, I don’t want to make any changes on my account, all I want is my question answered.” And that will be all that is done.

I can bet my bottom dollar, that if these people didn’t have anything awarded to them for making a quick sale, they wouldn’t pull the shit off that I seem to be correcting all the damn time.

Please don’t ask the name the companies, that would get me in big time poo-pooo and I don’t like being in poo-poo. But lets just say, if you can do your business on-line, do it. Eliminate that person that you cannot trust and you should have no worries.
Don’t get me wrong though, there are the honest ones out there too, but it seems there are more dis-honest than honest ones unfortunately.

That’s one of the things that I like about being on the phone in my job. Although the same crap occurs with the assholes selling the product, my job requires that I don’t attempt to save a person who wants to opt out. The law says that you have to agree with them and not try to keep their business. So, the only thing that I do is inform the misinformed. Otherwise, they’re free to go.

I’ll probably be joining you soon Corey. I’m not gonna’ quit though. I’ll let them let me go first so I can get the severance pay.
They may do that soon because I’m not selling a lot of shit to people when they call in. I’m spending to much time helping people.
And we know when we went to this client that’s exactly what they said we would be doing… somewhere along the line this one changed from a customer service thing to a sales campgain.
I’m no fu*%en salesman, and I don’t plan on being one either. They can try to change me, but that ain’t gonna’ happen! :-w
